Should you be upgrading to 4k for online video?

Over the last few months I have been looking at upgrading my video equipment to 4k resolution.   I was so impressed with the jump from 360p to 1080p, I had assumed that making the jump to 4k would be similar.

After spending hours and hours going through forums, white papers and guru blog posts I came to the conclusion that the upgrade to 4k really isn’t worth it.
