Top 3 tools for Internet TV creation

Over the last few weeks I have been testing out new programs for broadcasting & recording video based content.

#1 – XSplit Broadcaster

XSplit Broadcaster is by far and above the best broadcasting software out there.   Featuring multiple “stages” and “scene sources” plus the ability to stream to most “live broadcast” services including (but not limited to) Livestream, Ustream and VaughnLiveTV.

#2 – Open Broadcaster Software

Open Broadcaster is a free & open source alternative to XSplit.   While the interface and functionality hasn’t quite caught up to XSplit, it is an awesome alternative to anyone wanting to save a few bucks.   It also features multiple stages and scene sources and will also connect to most live broadcast services.

#3 – Flash Media Live Encoder

Adobe’s free entry for both Mac & PC is Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder.  Being the only one on this list for both PC &  Mac operating systems, this  software is also extremely powerful and the quality is a bit above the other 2 on the list.

One great feature that sets FMLE apart is the automatic adjustments for video quality based on bandwidth.  This means that if you start to have connection problems, your video quality will automatically adjust based on the available bandwidth.
