Welcome to the Revolution

Welcome to the Revolution

revolutionHollywood is scared…  really scared.

As the Internet becomes a viable alternative to traditional media, the major corporations are shaking with the realization that anyone with a webcam and a microphone can have their own show.

One just has to look at some of the most popular Web-based Video Shows available.  For example comedian Joe Rogan has started what amounts to a comedic revolution in the podcast/vidcast world.

Joe started his “show” on a whim with his good friend and technical guru Brian Redband.   Even though Mr. Rogan has done well financially with his hit show “Fear Factor”, he started “The Joe Rogan Experience” with just his laptop, a built-in webcam and microphone.

Fast-forward about 300 episodes and he has expanded to a dedicated studio with some professional gear.   But that’s not the amazing part…

The most startling piece of Joe’s show is the sheer volume of dedicated listeners.   Though the numbers are not available publicly, Joe has hinted that they are getting over 2 million viewers/listeners to his show!

Not only that, the fans are extremely dedicated to the show and have spurred the creation of Joe’s company Onnit Labs who have made millions from selling their own line of health supplements and exercise equipment.

Now every comedian with a computer has a podcast and is trying to capitalize on Joe’s success.

Maybe your not a comedian, but you want to have your own show and fans.  My goal with this blog is to teach you the ropes that I have learned in my 15 years of working with rich media (video, audio and images) and help you create your own amazing Talk Show revolution!

Hollywood has good reason to be scared… we are coming!
